Dr. Alicia Almendral is the architect behind the family medicine practice of Alicia Almendral MD PLLC and beauty enhancements of Monarch Montage Skin Science & Medical Aesthetics.
She is board certified in Family Medicine, with Geriatrics as her subspecialty. She completed her residency training at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY, and did a year of fellowship in Geriatrics at Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, NY.
She was conferred a medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines in 1998 and subsequently did a year of internship at Makati Medical Center. She also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Cum laude) as her pre-med at University of Santo Tomas, and is a graduate of Manila Science High School with honors.
Known as "Doctor A" or "Doc Alice" to her patients, she currently practices in her own primary care clinic and at a large urgent care company in New York. She has a passion for teaching academically and worked as a clinical preceptor to Family Medicine residents at St. Joseph's Family Health Center in Yonkers, NY.
Her interest in medical aesthetics commenced in year 2007. She built her company called "Almendral Aesthetics" and eventually renamed it into "Monarch Medical Aesthetics" in 2017. In 2019, Dr. Almendral partnered with Dr. Homer Mendoza, a cosmetic surgeon who owns Montage Skin Science, thus, the birth of "Monarch Montage Skin Science & Medical Aesthetics International".
She has attended numerous advanced aesthetic procedure training sessions and she continues to participate in many latest anti-aging and enhancement courses to live up to the new and ever-changing trends in non-surgical aesthetic medicine.

Her decade-long of experience in medical aesthetics prompted an invitation from a globally known aesthetic training institution called Empire Medical Training to be an instructor.
Her focus in teaching is on facial aesthetics. Monarch is an Emsculpt Academic Center as well.
Her endless dedication, pristine skills, and outstanding bedside manner are top reasons why she has been chosen annually as Patients' Choice Awardee since 2011. She was selected as one of New York's favorite physicians and received other accolades such as Top 10 Doctor Award, Compassionate Doctor Recognition, On-Time Doctor Award to name a few.
On a personal note, Dr. Almendral has 4 adorable children. She has been a member of American MENSA, which is the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world and MENSA Philippines since age 16. She is also a beauty queen - Mrs. Philippines International 2013.
